Artist's Statement

My lifelong love of color and composition has led me to use my art degree to present the arts to a wide audience. I have been a teacher, interior designer and now an exhibiting artist.

I work in dry pastels, watercolor, pen, collage and any other medium that strikes my fancy. To see the way the play of lights and darks transform a two-dimensional surface is a thrill. Add color to the equation and  the piece comes alive in the eyes of those who view it and live with it.

While traveling or daily life I try to always have a sketchbook handy to capture those little things that make life interesting.

All of my art begins with being aware of the small things that I see each day.
